About the Association

The clan runs on volunteers

No experience needed. If you can smile, set up a folding table and say “Welcome, cousin,” you can help.

Most needed

Become a convener

A convener hosts the MacLachlan tent at a Highland game or Celtic festival. It is the single most important thing we do: almost every new member meets us first under a tent.

What conveners do

  • Register the clan with the event and set up the tent, table and display

  • Greet visitors and help them find out whether they are MacLachlans

  • Gather fellow members for the Parade of Tartans

  • Keep a guest register and pass new contacts to the Secretary

What you get

The Convener Handbook, display checklists, forms, and support from the Board. Approved costs, such as tent fees, can be reimbursed.
