Our clan family

Worldwide

Clan Maclachlan Society

Founded in 1979 under the 24th Chief, the Society is a federation of autonomous branches around the world. CMANA has been a full branch since the late 1990s, and our members share in the Society’s magazine, Clan Lachlan.

The Society’s President is the Chief, Euan Maclachlan of Maclachlan, and its Chairman is Rick Boman.

Scotland

The Lachlan Trust

A Scottish charity working to conserve Old Castle Lachlan and its historic landscape so future generations can keep visiting the clan’s ancient seat.

Family association

The Claflin Family Association

An association for the Claflin family, one of the many North American spellings of MacLachlan.

Cousins

Clan MacEwen

Clan MacEwen gained a recognized chief of its own in 2025. MacEwens have sheltered under MacLachlan protection for centuries and remain warmly welcome in CMANA.

The wider Scottish community

CMANA works alongside the organizations that keep Scottish heritage alive across North America, including the Council of Scottish Clans and Associations (COSCA), in which MacLachlans have long volunteered, and the organizers of the Highland games and Celtic festivals where our conveners host the clan tent.
